Little paradise in the middle of the mountains with a stunning sea view. We enjoyed the private pool and outdoor areas all day and night – we loved the sunbeds at night to watch the stars. The inside is also very cosy. Samantha and Clifford made us feel at home while also feeling like we had step foot in a 5 star hotel. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your place.

We loved staying at the Finca La Vida studio. A real gem surrounded by nature. Everything was very comfortable and very clean, Samantha and Clifford created accommodation close to perfection. Wow! What a spectacular location with panoramic views of the mountains down to the sea. Truly a piece of paradise. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and the pool was well equipped with all the necessities and more. Clifford and the dogs were very warm and welcoming and fulfilled every need and query we had going beyond expectations. They are exceptional hosts! The photos don’t do the guesthouse justice, we would highly recommend you see it for yourselves. A great place to relax and enjoy a holiday with breath-taking views!

A great, idyllic place. Even better, if possible, than what is expected from the photos, which was already a lot! I spent 4 days at the end of August with my children and their girlfriends, and everything worked out great. Very good hosts, also, good communication, welcome on arrival, and flexibility on departure. I recommend it! Even if it’s for short stays, or coming from far away, as was our case after 10 hours of driving from Barcelona. Access by car is somewhat complicated, but it’s well worth it, because it keeps this wonderful surprise at the end of the valley 🙂

We had a wonderful stay at this vacation rental! The location is simply exceptional – with a fantastic view of the mountains and the sea, which you can enjoy from numerous cozy outdoor seating and lounging areas. Everything was very tidy and clean, and the pool was a real highlight – perfect for cooling off on hot days. The hosts, Samantha and Clifford, are incredibly nice and helpful. They live right next door, but fully respect your privacy and are immediately on hand when you need them. An important note: Be sure to follow the directions of the hosts and not blindly trust Google Maps – the navigation suggests an unsuitable route that is not suitable for cars. All in all, our stay was just perfect, and we would recommend this place anytime!

We are just back from a lovely 5 night stay at Finca la Vida. It really was perfect in every way and just what my husband and i were looking for. The guest house was beautifully designed with real care and consideration of everything we might need. And then there was the view, which was just incredible, peaceful and a spot you would never tire of. We toured around for a couple of days and ate lovely food in Competa, but our favourite days were spent looking out at the Andalusian hills from the garden and by the pool. We also had lots of wildlife visitors from dragonflies to a swimming toad which shows it’s not just us that loved this spot. Thank you Samatha and Clifford, we would love to return for more.

Samantha and Clifford are very nice hosts and the place feels very private and noble. lots to discover, amongst our favourites are the fig trees in front and the avocado and mango trees surrounding the location. Beautiful location, affordable and just about right if you need a pause in the middle of nowhere, topped with a view! Thank you guys 🙂

Quite simply, this place is perfect. There is exactly everything you need, no more and no less, beautifully and thoughtfully done. The location is tranquil and amazing, and it’s lovely to have Samantha and Clifford living on site: it makes everything gorgeously but unobtrusively looked after. The peace, the view, the comfort: a wonderful rest.

My partner and I came here looking to fully unwind, and this guest house was truly an oasis of tranquility. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at peace—surrounded by olive, citrus trees and vines – the most breathtaking view of the sea and mountains. Honestly, the photos do not do it justice. The location is perfect— Cómpeta is just 10 mins away, we went for dinner one night. We went to Playa de la Cala el Canuelo one day which was beautiful. It feels remote enough to be peaceful and private, but still close to everything you’d want to explore. What really elevated our stay was Samantha, who was incredibly detailed and helpful with anything we needed. Her thoughtful touches and responsiveness made us feel completely taken care of. The private pool was a dream—it felt so luxurious to have that all to ourselves, especially in such a secluded, natural setting. The guest house itself is beautifully styled – it’s cosy but spacious with different areas to relax. We want to return!

Finca la Vida was a dream stay in the nature with a magical view! The studio itself is very cozy and charming. It has a nice minimal decoration along with everything you would need as amenities and a great bathroom. Tasty olive oil to use and delicious coffee with some snacks to welcome us was a great plus! Although they have their own house near the studio, it feels very separate and you feel you are pretty alone. The view is to die for. It is not the easiest to get in terms of location but I see that as a cost to pay to be in the middle of such nature and once you get there with food you dont need to leave at night. The road down the mountain was not a hassle for us, instead everyday we enjoyed the ride with a view. We had breakfast under their fig tree every morning. They have a great seperate yoga/view spot. Stargazing in the night is purely out of the world. Samantha was very helpful with recommendations and she was easily reachable. We will be back:)

We had a marvellous time at Finca la Vida, spectacular views onto the Mediterranean Sea and mountains of La Axarquia, and a swimming pool where we spent most of our time. We loved all of the details they put into this beautiful Finca!
